About Welcome Baby & Beyond
WBB is a voluntary, strengths-based home visiting program in Dane County. Families eligible for the program must be pregnant or have a child under the age of 3. Families typically end services at 4k, but some children remain until kindergarten depending on goals and level of support needed. WBB is an Affiliate of Parents As Teachers, an evidence-based home visiting model.
Welcome Baby & Beyond strives to empower families, build confidence in parenting skills, and supports caregivers in understanding their child’s developmental needs from birth to age 5. Families are supported on topics related to physical health, mental health, child development screenings and connection to community resources.
WBB supports families by increasing their protective factors:
- parental support including knowledge of child development and social emotional competence
- social connections
- resource connections
WBB accepts self-referrals and referrals from service providers, hospital referrals and other community members.
