I grew up in New Glarus, WI and currently live in Madison. I studied psychology and sociology, with a certificate in disability rights and services. I have a background in neuro-psych trauma research, violence prevention, and working with young children with disabilities. I plan to return to school to get my master’s in social work and my career goal is crisis counseling for survivors of
interpersonal violence.
Kinzie’s areas of professional interest are Trauma and resiliency, stigmatized mental health diagnoses (ex: ODD, Conduct Disorder, BPD), violence prevention, intersectional identities, observational learning in youth, accessibility in education, harm reduction, LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma informed care, youth justice, and research. She enjoys sushi, reading and is currently learning ASL.
