National Children’s Mental Health Week is May 1st-5th and our friends at the Children Mental Health Matters Coalition are hosting the annual “My Feelings Matter” poster contest. Children and youth (preschool aged through high school) are encouraged to create a poster to portray why and how feelings matter! Encouraging youth to express emotions through art supports healthy social emotional development and generates age-appropriate discussions about children’s mental health year round.
Contest submissions will be accepted through March 27, 2017. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age category and winners will be invited to a celebration and showing of their work at the Overture Center Rotunda Stage on May 4th in Madison, WI. Complete submission information and other details can be found by visiting the Coalition’s blog: https://wisconsinknowschildrensmentalhealthmatters.wordpress.com/
