Community has always been important to RISE. Our community provides us with a critical support system and helps us form connections crucial to our programming. There are many individuals and organizations within Dane County that help RISE, and we are very grateful. One of these organizations is Nordic Consulting, Inc.

Nordic provides customized, end-to-end health IT solutions that help organizations improve the health of their patients and business. Located in Madison, Nordic focuses on investing in the Dane County community. Their team has been working with us for the last three years, and they returned this spring to help landscape our Fordem Avenue location.

Volunteers from Nordic came on the morning May 18th for their “Give Back Day.” There were 20 volunteers, and they completed their work within three hours. During this time, they had weeded our rain gardens, flower beds, and playground area. They also spread mulch for us, which totaled about 20 cubic yards. Our Facilities Manager, Chris Boehm, and Custodian, Rick Kraus, were there to coordinate the project.

We are incredibly thankful or those who spent their time landscaping our location. Our facilities look beautiful, and we are grateful for the volunteers who spent their morning with us. We look forward to collaborating with more Dane County individuals and organizations in the future.
